Ruth is a Ugandan accountant and corporate executive, currently serving as the Head of Internal Audit at Umeme Limited, Uganda’s largest electricity distributor. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Makerere University, is a Certified Public Accountant, and has postgraduate degrees in Information Technology and Computing from the Wharton School and Uganda Technology and Management University. Ruth has held various roles, including lecturer, senior auditor, and head of finance, before her current position. She is also the Vice President of both the Institute of Internal Auditors Uganda and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda, the first woman to hold the latter role since its inception in 1992.
