Pavana is passionate about Risk Management and founded The RQ Institute to further build on her purpose of risk management with a difference. She has led risk functions across multiple industries and risk disciplines.
These include Transnet, SABMiller, Deloitte, Standard Bank, Vodacom Group, SA Reserve Bank, Johannesburg Stock Exchange and Discovery Group which have defined her as a highly-respected risk advisor to senior leadership in the exponentially growing business environment requiring creativity, resilience and a practical approach to risk management.
Pavana was an Executive Committee member of Institute of Risk Management SA (IRMSA) – a non-profit organisation with the key objectives of enhancing risk management and raising the profile of risk practitioners – aligned to Pavana’s passion. She continues to be involved in and contribute to IRMSA and is currently a member of IRMSA Western Cape Executive Committee.
