Ravi Moodley: CEO: Human Capital Matters
Ravi is an experienced CEO and Non-Executive Director serving on the Boards of multiple organisations, with a background in Strategy, Risk Management, Finance and Corporate Governance. He has over 25 years work experience in both the Private and Public Sectors having held Senior Executive as well as Board roles. He brings a wealth of experience and expertise in Strategy, Finance, Human Capital, Risk Management, Change Management and Governance to both Board and Executive roles.
Ravi is the CEO of Human Capital Matters (HCM), a Management Consulting business predominantly focused on Strategy, Risk Management and Human Resources. HCM is a South African business operating from Cape Town with an international client base from multiple sectors of the economy.
He previously held the role of Executive Head of Strategic Management and Governance at National Parliament for 6.5 years, a role I moved to after an extensive banking career. Prior to that, he was Head of Strategy for Nedbank Corporate Banking for eight years. He has held other senior roles at Rand Merchant Bank, Standard Bank, Development Bank of South Africa, Bond Exchange of South Africa, Decillion and Risklab.
He serves as a Board Member of multiple organisations across varied industries. He is a Director of the Smart Communities Foundation, Director and co-founder of Human Capital Matters, Non-Executive Director and Treasurer of Life Choices, Non-Executive Director of Animation SA, and Non-Executive Director of konektd SA.
Ravi’s core skills lie in the domain of Strategy and Business Planning, Change Management and Business Transformation, Turnaround, Innovation, Governance, Enterprise Risk Management, Project and Programme Management, Business Intelligence and Market Research. One of his key strengths is the ability to navigate complex business environments with multiple stakeholders. I future proof businesses by creating and directing a strategic roadmap of structured change. I pay attention to the details and do not lose sight of the bigger picture.
He also has significant experience in start-up business across multiple sectors including ICT, Public Benefit Organisations and Corporate Services.
